Himalayan salt stones provide a therapeutic massage inside and out!
A Himalayan salt stone massage is like a traditional hot stone massage, but is performed with “stones” fashioned from Himalayan crystal salt. The salt stones are warmed and lubricated with essential oils to massage muscle tension away. Due to the natural cleansing properties of Himalayan salt (anti-microbial and anti-bacterial), the stones also help purify the skin with a gentle exfoliation.
Hot towels are also incorporated to further relax muscles and calm the nervous system. Pressure is customized to suit your needs.
Salt Stone Massage Reviews
Amber is a wonderful massage therapist. She took in all my injury information efficiently and with great understanding, and immediately seemed to know exactly what I needed. The hot stones are amazing, and her presence, care, and intuition are remarkable. I was so grateful to receive bodywork from her! I highly, highly recommend Amber and Brown Mountain Bodywork.

I rate Amber 5 Stars — 6+, if I were allowed to give a higher rating. Amber was very generous and gave me an absolutely terrific massage in every way. I had wanted to experience the heated salt stones and am so glad I did. It was delightful and I will schedule more sessions with her for sure!
This was my first experience with hot stones, and I LOVED the combo of the oils Amber used and the heat of the stones! Amber was very thorough and very kind– I relaxed to the point of half sleeping. I will definitely be back for more and am considering monthly massages for my fatigued muscles.
Amber is amazing. I went in for a full-body massage just to relax, and she knew exactly where I held tension in my body (some I didn’t even know about!). She used hot stones, which felt wonderful. That extra little warmth on the skin really helps loosen up. Amber is super friendly and welcoming… I felt right at home. I highly recommend!

Amber is absolutely amazing! She uses hot stones after massaging you to really get in deep and heat areas that need to release. I never knew hot stones could be so effective and heavenly feeling until Amber’s massages.

Salt Stone Massage Therapist
Amber Desmond has been a massage therapist for over 10 years and has a wide range of experience from body wraps in luxury spas to chair massage in busy supermarkets. Let her show you why she loves working with Himalayan salt stones!
These massage “stones” are created from salt crystals collected from the Himalayan mountains in India and Pakistan.
Himalayan crystal salt is naturally anti-microbial and anti-bacterial. It contains the same minerals and trace elements of which the human body is composed, and it is hypothesized that these inherent minerals and trace elements exist in colloidal form — meaning they are small enough for human cells to readily absorb them. Many also believe that the salt’s unique structure also stores vibrational energy and gives off positive ions.
Recommended session time varies based on your body and goals. 60 minutes is just enough time for most people to receive a full-body massage without any special attention to problem areas. If you would like your massage therapist to spend extra time on a specific area or if you are more muscular (athletes, etc), 90 minutes is recommended. 120 minutes is recommended for those that have more muscle mass AND have specific issues to address.
